Description: Iris Crow was made at a time where I had a micro obsession with crows. I loved the mystique around them and I had completely fallen in love with how quirky they could be. I started learning just how smart they were, too. They just intrigued me. So, as I do with many things I love and seek to understand, I drew them. Quite a lot. One day, browsing Pinterest, I found a picture of a crow holding a flower. I fell in love with the picture, I knew I had to draw it. While I was adding color, something just took over. I started adding colors that weren’t in the picture, sparkles and highlights. After around 10 minutes maybe 15, I had this. I consider it my first true dive into color. Since I found a way to use it properly. This piece showcases the wonder these critters bring to me. The drawing just makes me feel happy, and I love that it was my fascination for these creatures that made me unlock that coloring ability.
