Description: Birdie was done, I kid you not, on an airplane. There’s something about confined spaces that makes me want to draw, I don’t know the psychology behind it. Personally I think it’s because my mind wants to move even though my body can’t. So I took a photo reference I had saved up in Pinterest and just drew. I wanted to avoid blending for this one. I had used the blending tool a lot for pieces like Iris crow or Guitar model and I wanted this piece to look rougher. I think I succeeded. I think it really brings focus to the face of the bird.
